Amidst the potatoes, corn and wheat which are cultivated on the sprawling and spacious farmlands of Boise, Idaho, Torrie Wilson, one of wrestling's most athletic competitors emerged. Wilson was a fitness model at the time she entered the world of sports entertainment at the end of the 1990s. Her entry into this field came from the WCW backstage tour with her former boyfriend. She ended up accompanying Scott Steiner to the ring as well, and she remained in the industry for close to a decade in the years following. Wilson managed David Flair and The Filthy animals, as well as Billy Kidman. She also participated in a few matches with WCW. Wilson began working for WWE shortly after the company bought WCW, in spring 2001. The combination of her sporting ability and passion for entertainment meant that Wilson was a great fit to WWE in a period when the industry was experiencing the most activity. Wilson became a major figure in the era of WCW when WCW took over WWE through the assistance of her (sometimes rival) Stacy Keibler. After the invasion was put off, Wilson became a key female wrestler in WWE's women's division, engaging in memorable rivalries with the likes of Keibler, Sable and Melina. The family of her mother was also at stake when she fought Dawn Marie for their honor.
