Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson hails from the United States and is a producer, actress, writer/singer/director. She is best known for her part as Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and has also directed produced and appeared in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Additionally, she was the bride in the Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Danielle is her elder sister, and is an artist. The father of Benson was Jewish while her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Benson was raised in Alabama and went to a Reform church in Alabama. Benson, who has been in numerous movies and TV series after Buffy was over, most notably The Killing Jar. Additionally, she worked as a scriptwriter on her own show, the Ghosts of Albion Series and directed Drones in 2010. Buffy says that she took the time to count and find them she found around 1800 Slayers around the globe, of which 500 are associated to The Scooby Gang. The Slayers may be awakened at the time they attain a certain level of maturation such as Slayer Soledad. Slayer Soledad was awakened at the age of 16. Ruth Connell has been cast as Rowena for Season 10 Supernatural. The mysterious witch is of the past from the school.
